What is The Canadian Tire Christmas Trail?
The Canadian Tire Christmas Trail is a drive-along experience that takes guests on an enchanted 1.5 kilometre journey through thousands of twinkling lights, interactive displays, and live entertainment featuring new and familiar faces. Guests will be immersed in the magic of Christmas and can capture their beloved annual photo with Santa in a memorable way, all from the comfort of their own vehicle.


How long will it take to complete the experience?
The experience is designed to last approximately 30 minutes.

The Canadian Tire Christmas Trail is located at 1000 Murray Ross Parkway, immediately adjacent to Black Creek Pioneer Village.

Everyone! The Canadian Tire Christmas Trail is an experience for all ages, families, couples, groups or individuals.
 

Are there onsite washroom facilities?
No, public washrooms are not available onsite.


Will there be food and drink onsite?
Onsite purchases are not available; however, guests will receive a complimentary snack along The Canadian Tire Christmas Trail to enjoy from their vehicle (while quantities last).


Where do I dispose of garbage?
Please keep all garbage or recyclables in your vehicle and properly dispose of them once you leave the event.


Can we take photos or videos of the displays?
Absolutely, as long as you remain in your vehicle at all times. Please note the driver of any vehicle must not use a mobile device while the vehicle is in motion.

Is The Canadian Tire Christmas Trail accessible?
Yes, The Canadian Tire Christmas Trail is a drive-along experience. You do not need to leave your vehicle.


Is there a speed limit?
Yes, the speed limit is 5km per hour. Drivers must follow all signal lights on The Canadian Tire Christmas Trail and advance only when the lights turn green.


Can I exit my vehicle?
No, you must stay in your vehicle throughout the entire experience. It is designed for you to enjoy from the comfort and safety of your vehicles.
 

Can I walk the trail? How do I attend if I don't have a vehicle?
For the safety of all guests, we do not allow anyone to experience the trail on foot.  The Canadian Tire Christmas Trail is a drive-along experience intended to be enjoyed from the safety of your vehicle.


Other vehicle related requirements:

  • Please ensure your vehicle has enough fuel to wait in line and travel through the experience.
  • No limos, buses, convertibles, motorcycles, commercial vehicles or full-size pick-up trucks (8’ box and crew cab). All guests must be in an enclosed vehicle.
  • No vehicles over 7’ in height.
  • All vehicles must have a minimum 7” clearance under vehicle body.
  • No honking or flashing of high beam lights.
  • No alcohol, drugs, weapons, or smoking is allowed.

COVID-19 Protocols
If anyone is experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, please do not attend the event. Once at the event, all guests must remain in their vehicle.


Are pets allowed?
Pets are not permitted on the property. The Canadian Tire Christmas Trail runs through conservation land which is home to several wild animals who may be drawn out due to pets. This poses a risk to our live entertainers. For that reason, guests will be denied entry and no exceptions will be made.
 

What is your weather policy?
In the event of heavy rain or severe weather that may inhibit the operation of The Canadian Tire Christmas Trail, the Trail will be closed. Guests will be notified through the same email address they registered with and will receive a full refund. Cancelled dates will not be rescheduled.
